Monday Made It

It's Monday which means it's time for Tara's Monday Made It! I love the accountability that this link up gives me. If only I could get into my classroom so I can see what type of school projects I need to do. I haven't even seen my classroom or my school (besides the office for my interview) so I am just dying to get in and see what I am working with! I know most of you just got out of school so you think I'm crazy, BUT I go back July 24th! Eeeekkkk!
Now, on to Monday Made It!
My first Monday Made It is actually something for the classroom! I printed off the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards for 5th grade ELA and made a cute cover! I took them to Staples and had them bind it for me so I now have a standards binder to refer to while lesson planning.
Here is a peek inside.

My next Monday Made It was a super simple home project. One thing I love is mason jars! Each year I use them at my son's birthday party for drink out of, but I also like to decorate with them. Last week when I made my patriotic wreath for Monday Made It, I didn't use these white flowers. So, I cut them and put them inside mason jars! I loved how they turned out and ended up making three: one for the laundry room, one for the kitchen, and one in the guest bedroom. Love mason jars!

My last Monday Made It is the finishing touch to last week's Monday Made It. Last week I showed you this patriotic wreath. I had pink & purple flowers in the flower pots, but I really wanted red to match my wreath. Even though it's a little late to plant flowers, I found some red geraniums and potted those and stuck a flag in each one. I love this new look!
I am *really* hoping to share some school made it's soon!  Happy Monday, friends!

  1. I hope you get to get in your classroom soon. I know I would be chomping at the bit to get in there too!!! Your CCSS will definitely come in handy. Love the look with the mason jars and the switch out of the flowers! Happy a great week, Lana!

  4. Genius idea binding your CCGPS units! I keep mine in a binder and pull them out when I need them, but then all the pages end up out of order. I need to bind mine, so smart! Love your wreath too, super cute.
